Everest Contracting was pleased to report to its client recently that remedial work on the 36 balconies plus variations at Ocean Street, Woollahra, was continuing despite rain delays and Covid-19 interruptions. This set of three 8-storey residential tower blocks with with double skin masonry façade had balustrades that didn’t meet current standards amongst other defects.
Building reforms have now been introduced in response to public concern over building standards in the wake of high-profile cladding fire incidents, and more recently the Mascot and Opal Tower structural issues.
