Everest Contracting recently completed remedial works on the roof and balconies at Andover St, Carlton.
The building had considerable water damage, including internally in several of the top units. The work required included render replacement to the roof, replacement of balustrades to the balconies & internal damage repairs as well as painting, reinstallation of appliances and fixtures, tiling and drainage.
We used specifically designed tapered insulation on the roof to create sufficient falls. This certainly presented a few challenges involving the weather, but Everest Contracting were up to the challenge.
To overcome the challenges of achieving enough height at the door thresholds on the balconies, the team used a combination of engineered, as well as sand and cement screeds on the balconies.
