Balcony Waterproofing, Sliding Door Replacement, Concrete Repairs & Façade Upgrades
Our team recently completed remedial construction works at 2–6 Robertson Street, Narrabeen, a four-storey residential building constructed in 1974. The project addressed long-standing structural, waterproofing, and drainage issues to improve the building’s durability, safety, and performance.
Scope of Works
The works included the following key components:
- Demolition & Removal
Removal of deteriorated finishes, screeds, balustrades, sliding doors, and cavity flashings from balconies and courtyards.
- Structural & Compliance Upgrades
- Installation of 30 new aluminium sliding doors, improving energy efficiency and weather protection.
- Construction of new balustrades and dividing walls to meet current building codes.
- Concrete spalling repairs to address corrosion-related structural damage.
- Upgraded cavity flashings to resolve internal moisture issues.
- Waterproofing & Drainage
- Replacement of balcony and courtyard waterproofing systems, including membranes and floor finishes.
- Installation of a new stormwater drainage system to prevent water pooling and ensure proper runoff.
- External Finishes
- Application of a high-performance façade coating for enhanced durability and appearance.
Project Outcome
The works significantly improved the building’s structural integrity, waterproofing performance, and visual appeal. All upgrades were completed in line with Australian Building Codes and industry best practices, delivering lasting value for the residents and strata owners.
