The NSW Government has approved the final stage of WestConnex, linking the M4 and M5motorways.
Joining the M4 tunnel at Haberfield with the M5 at St Peters will create a non-stop underground western bypass of Sydney’s CBD, with the aim of reducing travel times and providing new open spaces for local communities.
The 7.5 kilometre twin tunnels will be able to accommodate up to four lanes of traffic in each direction.
The M4-M5 Link project will also transform the disused Rozelle Rail Yards into a 10-hectare park with green space, footpaths and cycle ways. A bridge will link the open space at Rozelle to the foreshore parks adjacent to Rozelle Bay at Annandale.
Everest Contracting has been selected as a contractor contributing to the construction of this new bypass. We are modifying buildings, involving both demolition as well as reconstruction of building exteriors and interiors that are in the path of the planned road.
We are undertaking both day and night works to ensure we meet the deadlines set for the construction of the WestConnex.
As with all of our projects, we have stringent quality and safety management plans in place, to ensure we produce the highest standard of work without compromising our worker’s safety.
Everest Contracting elects to undergo biannual comprehensive independent auditing of our Quality and Safety systems, to ensure we are compliant to the highest industry standards.
We hold ISO9001:2015 Quality Management certification and AS4801:2001 OHS Management System.
